Chlorology: Plant Rescue was built for professionals who handle sensitive client inventories and cannot afford a tool that phones home. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we do — and more importantly, what we deliberately do not do.
01 Information We Collect
We collect nothing. Chlorology does not request accounts, does not require sign-in, and does not capture names, emails, locations, or device identifiers during normal use. There is no photo scanning and no image upload, so no visual data ever leaves your camera roll or is generated by the app.
02 How We Use Information
Because no personal or diagnostic data is collected, none is used, analyzed, profiled, or sold. Every symptom you enter into the diagnostic engine, every pruning calculation, and every protocol you follow is processed exclusively within the app on your device, for your immediate use, and nowhere else.
03 Data Storage
Case records, calculator inputs, and protocol history are stored locally on your device only. There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no backend server maintained by Chlorology that receives or retains this information. If you delete the app, the local data is removed with it.
04 Third-Party Services
Chlorology does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or behavioral trackers. We do not embed software development kits that harvest usage data for external companies. The app's diagnostic logic and calculators run independently, with no AI or machine-learning service in the loop.
05 Data Security
Because all information stays on-device by design, the primary security boundary is the same one protecting the rest of your phone or tablet: your device's own lock screen and operating system safeguards. There is no transmitted data to intercept, because none is transmitted.
06 Children's Privacy
Chlorology is a professional reference tool intended for florists, phytodesigners, and horticultural practitioners. It is not directed at children, and because the app collects no data from any user regardless of age, it does not knowingly gather information from children under 13 or any other applicable age threshold.
07 Your Control
There are no accounts to manage and no servers holding your records, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. You retain full control at all times: clearing the app's local storage or uninstalling Chlorology permanently removes every case file, calculation, and note it ever held.
08 Changes to This Policy
If our practices ever change, this policy will be updated within the app and the effective date above will be revised accordingly. Because our stance is structural — no collection, no cloud, no AI — we do not anticipate substantive changes, but we will always disclose them clearly if they occur.
